The Almighty has completed his mercy on us making us humans, and by guiding us to the right path, he gave us life which we often take life for granted. We think moments with ourself, families, friends, etc. as a right and not a privilege. Allah has blessed us with every second of this day for a reason. It is only with His mercy that we live an additional second or an additional day. So why should we waste it?

Aishah Radiyalahu Anha, mother of the believers said that the Prophet ﷺ entered upon her one day and saw a small piece of bread on the floor, so he picked it up and wiped it, then told her: “O Aishah, treat the blessings of Allah with respect, for when it departs from a household it may never come back to them”

Say Alhamdulillah! Many verses in the Quran and hadith emphasises the importance of being thankful to Allah. When we become thankful, only then will our hearts be free from envy, greed and jealousy.

Importance Of Being Grateful

You Must Be thankful If It's Him You Serve

O you who believe! Eat of the good things We have provided for you, and give thanks to Allah, if it is Him that you serve
He Will increase your Favour


He Will Increase You in Favour Q14.7

And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, 'If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]; but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.' "


He Will Reward You Q3.145

And it is not [possible] for one to die except by permission of Allah at a decree determined. And whoever desires the reward of this world - We will give him thereof; and whoever desires the reward of the Hereafter - We will give him thereof. And we will reward the grateful.


Ibn Abbas reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The first to be called to Paradise are those who always praised Allah in times of ease and adversity.”

reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, “Allah is pleased with His slave who says: ‘Al-hamdu lillah (praise be to Allah)’ when he takes a morsel of food and drinks a draught of water.” Riyad as-Salihin, Book 14, Hadith 1396
