A Believer Is A Forgiver by Realismailakabir: 5:48am On Oct 02, 2020
In the name of Allah the most Beneficient The most merciful peace and blessings upon his beloved prophet Muhammad(SAW)

As a human being If someone hurts us, we are naturally inclined to teach them a lesson, as supposed to forgiving them. We love to give someone what they deserved. Or worse we want to pay them back double the amount of what was inflicted on us. But this is not of the Quran and Hadith. Allah urged us to forgive each other, his prophet lived an examplary life of by forgiving those who wronged him.

A believer is a forgiver

The believers are those who spend in charity during ease and hardship and who restrain their anger and pardon the people, for Allah loves the doers of good.
Surat Ali Imran 3:134

Forgive If you want Allah's forgiveness

"...and let them pardon and overlook. Would you not like that Allah should forgive you? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. Q.24.22

Forgive! For Allah shall recompense

Say to those who believe that they should forgive those who expect not the days of Allah, as it is for Him to recompense people for what they have earned.
Surat Al-Jathiyah 45:14

Verily, the Hour (judgement day) is coming, so forgive them with gracious forgiveness.
SuratAl-Hijr 15:85

Hadith:
Anas ibn Malik reported: A Jewish woman came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, with a poisoned sheep and he ate from it. She was brought to him and he asked her about it. She said, “I wanted to kill you.” The Prophet said, “Allah has given you no authority over me.” It was said, “Should we kill her?” The Prophet said, “No.” I continued to see the effects of the poison upon the Messenger of Allah.

Charity does not decrease wealth, no one forgives except that Allah increases his honor, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises his status.Sahih Muslim 2588,

Uqbah ibn Amir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: O Uqbah, reconcile whoever cuts you off, give to whoever deprives you, and pardon whoever wrongs you. Musnad Ahmad 16999

If Allah's messanger can forgive the jewish woman who poised him, why can't we forgive others? No matter was done to us? We must follow the Sunnah of our beloved prophet of Allah in forgiving others and it is also Also Allah's command. Allah knows best .
