NCDC Records 153 New Cases As Total Cases Exceed 59,000 by Newsbreakers: 10:20am On Oct 02, 2020
The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 153 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 59,001. No new death was recorded while there were 98 recoveries. Lagos State topped the list.

The 153 new cases are reported from 14 states- Lagos (81), Rivers (21), FCT (11), Ogun (cool, Kaduna (7), Oyo (6), Akwa Ibom (5), Osun (3), Katsina (3), Edo (2), Ebonyi (2), Nasarawa (2), Plateau (1), Kano (1).

The breakdown in the tweet of the NCDC shows that the 153 cases were from 14 different states. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with 81. Rivers State followed with 21 cases while the Federal Capital Territory had 11 cases. 98 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 50,452 from 50,358. No new death was recorded.
