Toluse Olorunnipa has broken a new ground in journalism as he is the first Nigerian journalist to cover the White House for the Washington Post.

EARLY LIFE

Toluse Olorunnipa born December 21, 1986) is a Nigerian-American journalist and political commentator. He is the first reporter of native African and Nigerian descent to cover the White House.

Olorunnipa earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and MSc from Stanford University.[2] In college, Olorunnipa wrote for The Stanford Daily.

Olorunnipa writes for The Washington Post and is an analyst for CNN. He previously worked for Bloomberg News and The Miami Herald. His columns have been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The Chicago Tribune, Bloomberg Businessweek, The Tampa Bay Times, The Seattle Times, The Nation, and others. He has been featured as a panelist on Washington Week and Face the Nation, and frequently appears on CNN, MSNBC, CBS News, and C-SPAN as a political analyst.

Congrats Sir. In my opinion if you come from a third world nation, striving to become a great brand and a global citizen is the best situation you can place yourself and generations cos complaining and wailing about being in a failed nation won't solve any issue. It's your skills, talent, achievements and competencies that will shoot you beyond a tribal space to a global place.
