Voice of the unfortunate child
The schools has thrown open her gates again
Now I have to return with my empty brain
I know I will be back to the teachers that look at me with disdain
To them I am not fit for school so the make insults rain

Sometimes I wish they could see the effort I put
They little I know still surprise me But,
To them I am not doing enough when it’s not my fault.
I want to say it, but I am too afraid to open my mouth

I am tool that does everything in the house
House, because there is no home for people like us.
I am the bin everyone drops their anger on Because,
I don’t deserve love as a child that lives with curse.

I love the books, bit I can’t open it.
Why would I when I work 24/7 with no food to eat
I envy other children reading, even that of this my Aunt.
She treats me differently because I am a child from the Street

The classroom has become a place for me to sleep
Because at home, while others sleep ,Virgil is all I Keep.
Not that I want , but my chores are many that even my heart weep.
So teacher, don’t hate me , but hate my world that bleeps
