NgwalandAbia: Former Eastern Nigeria, now there is Northern Nigeria, Middle Belt, South western Nigeria, Eastern Nigeria and Niger Delta Republic. This are the new regions in Nigeria today. Northern Nigeria = Northwest and Northeast Middle belt = North central and other northern ethnic minorities. Southwest Nigeria = Youroba land Eastern Nigeria = Igbo land Niger Delta Republic = All Ethnic Minorities of the 6 South South states. |

JustBeingFrank:No need for insult. The Abia that you people keep shading is one of the most urbanized states in Nigeria filled with the most hardworking people on planet Earth. the government has failed to build roads and keep sanitation of up to date. The day those basic things are done and Abia state gets constant electricity, very few states will compare to Abia State, Abia is a diamond in the rough, all it needs is one leader who will be committed to reshape it. Reshaping Aba alone will generate enough IGR to reposition that whole state. I say this because i know Abia State intimately, most people that talk about Abia State have no idea what they are talking about, they bash Abia because of Aba but Abia state is more than Aba. And Aba is not a village. it one of the greatest cities in the Eastern region, in has issues just like any big city in the world. 4 Likes |

NgwalandAbia: You cant think for us, just because you don't like the construct of South South does not mean it doesn't exist. you are entitled to you opinion just as i and the people who feel like me are entitled to ours, no need for insult. We already tried biafra and eastern region it left a bitter taste in our mouth. we want something new, If the eastern region was that good there would have been no need for further division, if the western region was that good there would have been no need for Mid western region. the dominant groups, in those regions were playing the part that the Fulanis are playing in one Nigeria today. This is the view of the generality of Minorities in both the former South western and Eastern region of Old Nigeria. this are facts and you cant create your own fact. We will take our chances in a Niger Delta Republic where no ethnic group will lord over others. because we are almost equal in Numbers and spread. 2 Likes |

Connect the Apron to the taxiway, and don't wait till the terminal building is complete before you do the Apron, this are ways that will fast track the completion of the project. |

Atouke: less than one percent of population will use that airport so let them focus more on the everyday need of the masses or commoners. there are too many airports in Nigeria which are not in use yet scarce resources are been sunk in new ones that will be abandoned tomorrow 1 Like |

slivertongue: You don't know that the one percent according to you that will use the airport are the ones with the capital to invest and create jobs for the masses that you seem to be concerned about. if you don't invest in infrastructure that will help you attract the capital like the airport, how will they come an invest and create jobs? the Turkish, Chinese, Singaporeans etc that are investing their capital in Akwa Ibom today, how do you think they could have gotten to Akwa Ibom without the Air port in Uyo? would they have driven from Lagos and Abuja via the bad roads in country and the eyesore called Aba - Ikot Ekpene road or land in calabar airport and drive through the Nightmare called Itu - Calabar highway? Appreciate good things when you see it. this is going to be a great blessing for our state, can you imagine what will happen to the economy of Akwa Ibom when Uyo becomes the hub where most people coming to Nigeria will land first? 5 Likes |

If all goes according to plan, the Ibom Air MRO center would be delivered in eighteen months or two years. That’s what its chief operating officer said. A statement made Monday, September 14, during the launch of its two new routes Abuja - Enugu and Lagos - Enugu. According to George Uriesi, "the maintenance hangar is nearing completion" at Obong Victor Attah Airport in Uyo. Akwa Ibom's state-owned company wants to make its base Nigeria's preferred gateway for both domestic and international flights. To this end, it is encouraged by the work on the new passenger terminal. The infrastructure under construction, covering an area of approximately 30,000 square meters, will be able to accommodate more than one million passengers per year. The young carrier started commercial operations on June 7, 2019. It currently operates a homogeneous fleet of five CRJ-900s. As part of its fleet expansion, Ibom Air plans to double its fleet within 3 years, from five to ten CRJ900s. Once that number is reached, the company will switch to other and larger devices. Outside Nigeria, Ibom Air aims to expand its network to West and Central Africa, and possibly East Africa. The destinations under study are Accra, Libreville, Malabo and Douala. https://newsaero.info/airlines/nigeria-ibom-air-veut-terminer-son-centre-mro-dici-2-ans-et-doubler-sa-flotte-?true=3195 wow MRO to be ready in 18 months ! that really nice. |
