Ronald Koeman will experience his most challenging game till date as manager of Barcelona when they host Europa League winners Sevilla at Camp Nou. Barcelona returned to life in La Liga with a new look under a new manager – Ronald Koeman and were able to quickly push aside two of the biggest teams in the league. They took on Villarreal in gameweek 1 and registered a dominant 4-0 victory with Ansu Fati on the scoresheet twice. Last week was some sort of a personal achievement for the club as they beat Celta Vigo 3-0, which is also the first time they’ve won Municipal de Balaidos since 2015. The team, despite being structured differently, looks quite used to the formation and are connecting well. The integration of Philippe Coutinho into the team as a no. 10 also seems to be paying off and has taken some creative pressure off Lionel Messi. While the first two games seemed exhausting on paper, they looked anything but a challenge for the Blaugrana. Their real first test is hosting Sevilla at the Camp Nou. The Seville outfit are two for two as well but have looked a lot less sharp than their weekend opponents. Last week, they opened the doors of the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan to Levante. Despite creating multiple chances, Julen Lopetegui’s men were rescued by a 92nd-minute winner by Youssef En-Nesyri. The corresponding fixture last season turned out to be a walk in the park for Barcelona as they scored four unanswered goals past Sevilla. After the four goals, they also had Ousmane Dembele and Ronald Araujo sent off in the dying minutes of the game, but it was late enough for their opponents to be unable to do anything. |

ghettokid1: Sevilla is still very much complete as a team, in form, even with a better midfield, thanks to Barcelona's gift of Rakitic!!! This will be your first true test of a promising season!!! Good luck to Koeman. Na now the real coaching start. I'm happy they are finally playing as a team, and no longer relying on Messi!!!
