why is it that when the price of goods and services spoiled by going up it doesn't come down back again?

things have really spoiled beyond repair in this country courtesy northern government.

bag of rice is approaching 35k. even the local rice is running faster than it shadows

since they ban foreign rice how much have they saved? dollar is still getting close to N500. the naira is now so useless.
