The United States (US) government has sought transparency in the fast-approaching governorship election in Ondo State.

In a statement made available to members of the public, President Donald Trump-led administration enjoined all candidates to ensure a credible election that reflects the will of the people.

The statement from the US authorities also encouraged stakeholders in the political process to work towards a free, fair, transparent, and peaceful election in the state.
