Abdulrasheed Maina, a former chairman of the Pension Reform Task Force, standing trial for alleged theft of pension funds, has denied jumping bail.

Mr Maina stated this in a trending video clip circulating on social media yesterday.

The accused, facing 12-count charge of diverting N100 billion of pension funds and money laundering, has not been present in court twice before the Justice Okon Abang Federal High Court.

His surety, a serving senator, had claimed he knows nothing about his whereabouts.

But in a six-minute and thirty seconds video, the former pension boss who said he was in a hospital he refused to name, denied jumping bail.

Maina who in the clip wore leg braces, promised to return for his trial when his condition gets better. TODAY POLITICS could not immediately verified when the video was shot.

“I am not on the run and have not jumped bail as being speculated by detractors. I am on a hospital bed,” he said.

“I am nursing a serious knee injury and the doctor said I need up to 6 to 7 weeks of recovery to be on my feet,” Maina added.

When it is time to face trial over their past corrupt deeds, then they start feigning on stupid non-existent illness or the other.Bring them from their hospital beds to face trial & let it be accelerated.

This country is a joke

See his huge pot belly sef grin

I regret ever believing GMB was going to fight corruption, I curse the day I voted for him against GEJ cry. GMB is a total disaster, when we're to rate his Government from A-Z.

Almost everything has gotten worst under this Government.

Is it security?

Inflation?

Poverty?

Power?

Terrorism

High cost of living?

The country is getting ruined, yet our Labour Unions dey do nonsense.

Our Labour Union should be the ones fighting for Nigerians, by now they should have called for a total protest all over Nigeria.

It seems is time we have to start electing who will lead the Labour Unions.
