The wait is over as those who asked for more are set to receive it as It’s no new news as the first-ever DDR5 (Double Data Rate 5 Synchronous Dynamic Random-Access Memory) are all over the internet after 3 years of promises. SK Hynix has officially announced the world’s first DDR5 memory modules. According to SK Hynix this new DRAM offers a speed up to 5,600Mbps of raw bandwidth which is 1.8 times faster than the well-known DDR4, SK Hynix also said the new DDR5 will also come with 20 percent power savings, saving you more juice for extra work and playtime.

AMD is still yet to embrace the new DDR5, and no sign that coming soon, it will take a while before we start seeing this memory module available or preinstalled on computers as the company said it expected to start selling them in Q3 2021, but they’re ready whenever systems can support them. Also, it is expected that DDR5 should have as long of a lifecycle as DDR4, if not somewhat more. Both DDR3 and DDR4 have appreciated approximately seven-year lifecycles, and DDR5 ought to appreciate a similar level of solidness.
