Zealously convening in one of the conference room at Excellence Hotel- Ogba, members of Rotaract Club of Omole Golden held their first meeting for the month of October on Sunday 11th of October 2020.

Calling the day's meeting to order at exactly 4.22PM, Opportunity President Michael Ugbede of Omole Golden Rotaract Club smartly welcomed Omole Golden's immediate past President and Rotaract representatives from other clubs to the high table. And warmly introduced inhouse eloquent member Esther Adebari as designated SAA for the day.

Then officially welcoming and encouraging everyone present to gleefully participate in the day's pressing matters behind the gavel.

Notably, Rotaractor Ebunoluwa of Mushin Golden inspired the gathering to dedicate a song to the memory of a recently deceased Rotaractor

Rtc President Michael Ugbede presented the matter of Omole Golden's fast approaching Elite Investiture, which will be the District 9110's follow-up ceremony after the weekend installation of District Rotaract Representative Adedeji Windapo at Ostra Hotel, Alausa.

Urged by her President, honourable Chairperson of the Installation affairs 2020- 2021, Esther Adebari discussed the outcome of Omole Golden's Excos visit to the Oba of Aguda community concerning the occasion and that attendance fee is 1k.

"Investiture is the tradition of Rotary International to have a new President, during an occasion consisting of lecture and fundraising to service more community projects.
We don't have much resources but we have the energy. Also capable guest speakers, chief speakers, distinguished guests will grace the occasion
" was President Michael Ugbede's description of the much valued Investiture ceremony of Rotary before inviting soft spoken Rotaractor Kemi Gbadebo to conduct the Know Your Country lecture.

Kemi Gbadebo, an indigene of Ijebu educated everyone present on the illustrious origins and cultural tradition of Ijebu, right down to the fact that an Ijebu was the first to spend dollars in Nigeria, that it was even way before the first white man traveled down- which was reasonably met with resistance. She also stated that any unsuccessful Ijebu must be bastard. As many notable Nigerians including Obafemi Awolowo hailed from Ijebu.

Another interesting highlight was the presentation by friends of Rotaract and members of Earth Festival Nigeria- Tife Fashipe, Precious and Promise who are set to set a commendable world record with Rotaract. The goal includes taking the most plastic garbage off the street in partnership with NYSC and the proposal is to raise 10,000 t-shirts.

The event lasted well into the evening and proved to be enjoyable fun for all as everybody, including reps of Rotaract Club of Iju got together immediately after Closing Toast to enjoy a brief but lovely photoshoot session.
