Mohammed Adamu, the Inspector-General of Police, has given an update on the reform of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), saying the training of a new police unit to take over from the disbanded Special Anti -Robbery Squad (SARS) will begin next week.

The IGP made this disclosure during his meeting with popular singer, Davido, whom he received yesterday (Monday, October 12, 2020), in his office at Force Headquarters over the ongoing #EndSARS protests.

During the meeting, Adamu noted that with the scrapping of SARS, there was a need to get a new structure to carry out the duties of the defunct police unit, which is fighting violent crimes.

What pains me the most is that these politicians don't do anything but they loot and throw it on the faces of people. Their arrogance irritates me. Being that they have impoverished nigerians, they now use our male youths as thugs and females as prostitutes. This they've done to turn themselves to gods so that they can be worshipped where little food is thrown by them to the people (unlike Europe and Asia where hunger is being chased away and the leaders are even more powerful). No! These ones are wicked! They are selfish! No youth should cooperate with any of them.

This is not a sars matter again. There's hunger in the land amidst plenty. Poverty Amidst wealth. Wickedness of the highest order. THIS MUST STOP OR THEY ALL GO (APC OR PDP). ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! It's becoming unbearable
