The commencement date for the Federal Government’s 774,000 was shifted due to rain. This is according to Festus Keyamo (SAN), the Minister of State for Labour and Employment. The new job offers, under the Special Public Works Programme (SPW), which was initially scheduled to take off on Thursday, October 1, 2020, will now kick off on Sunday, November 1. In a statement where he made the disclosure of the new kick-off date, Keyamo said some of the proposed project sites had become waterlogged, adding that the capturing of those to be engaged was in progress.
