It's a big shame. Now they're wasting our money "rehabilitating" those criminals. Their mates went to school, got a degree and are making a living out of it. They took to militancy, committed offenses against the state and they get to study abroad on full scholarship?

Why don't they incorporate them into the Army, Navy or Airforce instead of wasting money training those block-heads? Most of 'em don't even have SSCE or NECO and they want to read Engineering, Business Administration, etc?

Good job GEJ. The message to our children is clear. In Nigeria, evil pays better than good.

Vintage GEJ. Clueless as ever.
BTW, i know a lot of ND/SS graduates who can benefit from scholarship abroad. Why militants, why criminals.
Numskvlls(biscute & alex101) - it's simpletons like you that gives the ND a bad name. Militants are not the best ND can offer, they have indigent student with good grade in SSCE & JAMB (all dressed but nowhere to go).
I'm sorry for honest, hardworking Nigerians. I'm sorry our generatn Next (with the antecedent GEJ is setting for 'em)
Vote GEJ & PDP at your own peril. Chikena!

Re: Gejs' Government Sends Ex-militants Abroad For Education by Nobody: 3:46pm On Mar 08, 2011
This is insane, even if Jonathan felt the need to educate these militants, why not use our own Nigerian universities here instead of wasting millions of dollars again just because they are from his home town, is he indirectly saying his own unversities are not good enough or what? and who's fault is it if they are not, and what happened to vocational training, those useless militants would probably not do anything meaningful with the degrees anyway, they're already spoilt, trust me by the time they graduate its either they continue in one crime or the other or come back to the ND. . . I strongly believe this jonathan monkey should be voted out in the next elections please, he really is very very stupeeeed!

SIMPLE FACT:
1.Everyone wanted an end to Niger delta crisis because is d source of 90% of NIGERIA revenuecheesy previous govt failed in dier attempts. Now dat Jonathan succeeded should we call for his head for doing dat? obviously no!
2.Should d militant not be trained to keep dem engaged?.Well, dey sud b trained(common sense shows dat dey will resume militancy if not engaged)
3.Why abroad? It's all up to d govt objective and type of training, after all not all of d training institutn cud b available in Nigeria.BESIDEs,not all of dem are going 4 abroad traing, sum are undergoing training in Nigeria.

3.Should other militants like GBOKO haram b given d same gesture:Well,d history of militancy in Nigeria shows dat Gboko haram will not get d same gesture because there are no way for dem to hold d govt to ransome because there is no oil exploratn & related activities for dem to disrupt & make d govt listen
4.But gboko haram is shedding blood everyday?YES,d govt dont give a damn in as much as it's is not affecting their SOURCE of income,So even if dey kill their last fellow northerner dat is dier business,Afterall, dier MILITANCY lacks direction & demand unlike MEND who says dey want a share of d OIL money
, MY JUDGEMENT:the biggest blunder in our history was commited by LORD LUGARD,who misjointed d north & south nigeria--A two peple with TOO distinctly DIFFERENT orientation about life
