I think the I.G of police, would have added or used more of this to make Nigerians believe in the new creation of SWAT in Nigeria. At least the government would have also given directive on this. Using other agencies to aid in training the officers and men of the newly created SWAT. At least the DSS should be the once to aid in screening to make sure no ex-sars or corrupt officers joins the SWAT. At least using documents and records provided by the their command would show show all activities of aspiring SWAT officer. Then the Nigerian navy should handle the aspect of medical. While the Nigerian airforce handle the psychology test and fitness. While the Army trains them on weapons and tactics. They need to undergo training of weapons through the army so they can acquire weapons and fire decipline. If you take a closer look at police CTU personnel, you hardly hear of casses of miss-fire from them, cause they were trained by the army counter terrorism and counter insurgency by NASI in Jaji and Buni yadi Yobe special forces training center. And all their activities be monitored also. Thanks.
