"Strike the Shepherd and the sheep will scatter". This agelong strategy is still as valid today as it was in ancient times.

This strategy always succeeds against any organization with a recognized leader. It's simple, take the leader away and even if there's a second in command, internal cracks will start to sure as different interests will start to rear their heads.

You wonder why the protests organized by Northerners against insecurity died as quickly as it started? It's simple. They had a leader who got arrested. The guy was the fulcrum of the protests. The govt came for him and the protest died.

But not so with the ongoing protests across the country.

The ongoing protests across the country seems so amateur and spontaneous yet so sophisticated and organized. But then comes the problem. It's without a leader. So now the govt doesn't know who to negotiate with, who to bribe or who to arrest to bring an end to the protests.


Another masterstroke is how the protesters refused to buy into Sowore's Revolution Now demand, saying they are not talking revolution but sincere patriotic demands. Again it is also good that PDP as a party has stayed away from this which has made sure the protests has no political baggage or claim of serving a certain interest. Either of party or individual.

A report by People's Gazette of last night stated how Buhari and his inner cabinet are sniffing the ground to find who the leader or leaders of the protests are. Unfortunately I think they will find none.

Now the youths are awake. This is our time to take back our country from these gerontocrats who keep piling up the country's treasure for their children and their generation yet unborn.

The time is now to demand:-
Restructuring
Signing of the New Electoral Act
Youth inclusiveness
And general overhaul of our governance system.
