Madam Abigail Omojolagbe Makinde, the mother of the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde is dead.

It was gathered from a reliable source that the octogenarian died on Thursday.

VOICE AIR MEDIA learnt that Madam Makinde, who celebrated 80 last year November, was said to have died in the early hours of Thursday, 15th October.

Recalls that the former Oyo governor, Ajimobi lost his mum, Madam Sikirat Abeje Ajimobi on July 19, 2012, less than two years after assuming office as governor.

But the state government is yet to make an official statement about the death.

It was gathered that Mr Governor, had described his late mother as a disciplinarian, straightforward and blunt woman, who says things the way they are, Makinde noted that he took a little bit of his mother’s virtues.
