The Peoples Senate, a group of young Nigerian professionals, is organising a proxy debate for presidential candidates. Tagged “The Youth Presidential Debate”, and scheduled for March 13 at the Abuja Sheraton Hotels, the debate features a youth representative of each of the presidential candidates.

President of the Peoples Senate, Mr Lai Labode, disclosed this at a  briefing weekend. He said, eight political parties were invited for the debate, out of which six had already indicated their interest to have youth representatives at the debate source Vanguard Newspaper.

Its a welcome devt. But what we really need is a debate by the aspirants themselves, that way we'll know the ones that really have something to offer.

This is is okay,  But the ultimate win would be for the candidates to come and debate by themselves, lets differentiate those who gat something upstairs, the ad lib experts,  from the spoon-fed speech-cramming teleprompter-reading ones
