Ugbobi Clan is one of the kingdoms in Ahoada West LGA and it is located in Ekpeye Ethnic Nationality. It is regarded as the second largest oil producing clans in Ahoada West after Engenni.

Ugbobi is located at the south-west part between longitude 6 degree 26E and 6 degree 34 E and latitude 5 degree 91N and 5 degree 2"N. It is bounded to the west by Engenni to the north east by Ubie clan and to the south-East by Igbuduya. The area occupied is about 140 square kilometer. The land mass is lowlyin, Mostly of deltric type and the vegetation is of the equatorial forest type.

The population of ugbobi is put at about 44,000 people. Eleven towns and villages makes up ugbobi kingdom which include Idu-Ekpeye, Ukpeliede, Akala-Olu, Enito 1, Enito 2, Odhiolugboji, Emezhi 1, Emezhi 2 ,Odieke-Ugbobi, Unu-Oshi Akala-Olu and Umu-Akpashi.

Ugbobi Kingdom has two political wards; Ward 6 and 7. By its geographical description is an agrarian population. In this area, the communities settlement styles and patterns varies base on topography and other geographical features.

Ugbobi Kingdom has half of her landmass flanking the orashi River and surrounded by many lakes. In this case, one can easily say that Ugbobi farmland is a flood prone area where the majority of the farmers use the fertile land (alluvial deposit) for farming.

Presently, Ugbobi communities being an agrarian society has been ravaged by flood. Positively, water is one of the essential thing God created for the existentiality of man on Earth. But the excessive nature has become a growing concerned to the people in the affected areas. Over here, farmlands (cash crops), and living houses has been submerged and the negative impact of this issues has been enormous and will continue to be so amidst the Corona virus pandemic.
We the good people of Ugbobi are calling for a repressive attention of the Government at all levels to the precarious situations ravaging us as a people.

The multinationals currently operating in Ugbobi Kingdom are therefore requested to come to the aid of our people in this difficult period as we will no longer tolerate the lack of concern to the plight of our people while the crude oil in Ugbobi land is being drained on a daily basis by these IOCs.
