The average price for the refilling of a 12.5kg cylinder for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) decreased by -0.63% month-on-month and by -0.32% year-on-year to N4,110.92 in September 2020 from N4,136.80 in August 2020, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said in its report on Tuesday.
However, the refilling of the 12.5 Kg cylinder cost more in states like Akwa Ibom (N4,554.44), Bayelsa (N4,535.00) and Cross River (N4,470.56), according to the report.

“States with the lowest average price for the refilling of a 12.5kg cylinder for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) were Kano (N3,654.00), Oyo (N3,758.93) and Imo (N3,768.75).”

The report showed that the average price for the refilling of a 5kg cylinder for Liquefied Petroleum Gas decreased by -0.23% month-on-month and by -0.07% year-on-year to N1974.67 in September 2020 from N1979.15 in August 2020.

“States with the highest average price for the refilling of a 5kg cylinder for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) were Bauchi (N2,487.37), Borno (N2,391.96) and Adamawa (N2,368.41).”

“States with the lowest average price for the refilling of a 5kg cylinder for Liquefied Petroleum Gas were Imo (N1,644.44), Ebonyi (N1,693.86) and Enugu (N1,705.45).”
