In more ways than one, the Nigerian youths have spoken very loudly and clearly that never again will they remain aloof and watch the ruling class run the nation like a personal fiefdom.

If for nothing, the #Endsars protest march has sent shock waves down the spines of the elites that indeed, power of the people is much more than the people in power.

I'm indeed happy that the campaign to get things right in Nigeria is spearheaded by the youth population, a critical part of the nation.

The youths have realized the dire need to take the driver's seat and get really involved in our quest to address the catalogue of woes bedevilling us as a people. The elites have for long taken advantage of our disinterestedness in governance and politics to perpetuate themselves and their cronies in power.

We've spoken, very loudly at that, and governments across all levels have heard us and are willing to address our demands. This is a big win for us.

#Way forward

1. The youths should harmonise all their demands and expectations for onward presentation and deliberation. Engagement.

2. Get a team of trusted, reliable, patriotic, capable and competent youths to present our demands and engage government on our behalf.

3. Another team of young Nigerians to monitor the activities of our reps dialoguing with government.

4. Begin the process of registering a youth-focused/based political party ahead of 2023.

5. Peg age limit and terms for membership. E.g. 40 years and below.

6. No form of alliance or partnership with any existing political party, especially the APC and PDP.

7. Don't accept financial donation or assistance from politicians.

8. Work towards retiring old politicians across all levels come 2023.

9. Watch against fifth columnists.

God bless Nigeria.
