President Buhari Breaks Silence On Lekki Shootings, Pledges Justice For Victims by jaybenugo: 6:21am On Oct 26, 2020 |
President Buhari has broken his silence on the gunfire incident that occurred at the Lekki tollgate on Tuesday, October 20, IgbereTV reports. End SARS protesters had gathered at the tollgate to stage a protest when they were shot at by security operatives. In a statement released today October 25 by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, President Buhari vowed to ensure justice for the ''peaceful protesters who lost their lives.” The President explained that he decided not to talk about the shooting incident until he had access to all the facts. He also promised property owners and business owners affected by the arson across the nation that they would get justice. He commended Lagos State for planning to prosecute 229 suspects arrested by the police for allegedly using the #EndSARS protest to destabilize the country. The President also condemned the looting of items from private and public businesses. He appealed to families to turn back children who bring home unaccounted goods. He also advised wives must ask their husbands to return looted items brought home. The statement reads: "AGAIN, PRESIDENT BUHARI CONDEMNS LOSS OF LIVES, APPEALS FOR PEACE AND BROTHERHOOD https://www.facebook.com/1452287068399764/posts/2413399362288525/?app=fbl https://igberetvnews.com/1369375/president-buhari-breaks-silence-lekki-shootings-pledges-justice-victims/ Lalasticlala

Who ordered the Shooting? The president must not avoid this question. Sanwo Olu said, it is forces beyond him, and he did not even order the Soldier to be there at that period of time The ArmyHQ even said they were not there.. A stupid General in the Army said live video is Photoshoped(Nollywood is not even having green screen equipment ) Who ordered the killing? If Nigeria don't unite to speak against this nonsense.. The Government will feel they can toy with our life and intelligence at any time. WHO ORDERED THE SHOOTING AT LEKKI TOLL GATE? 1 Like |

Thought they said you're waiting for the investigation outcome of an incident the world knew the very day it happened? Why should they be killed in the first place? No more freedom of expression. So the govt acknowledged that there are peaceful #EndSARS who lost their lives? Perhaps the US team that visited Aso Rock is doing the magic now. The president cant feign ignorance of the paid thugs being dropped off in hilux vans to disrupt the peaceful #EndSARS protesters in Abuja..After all, the only refreshing aspect of the Buhari regime is the frankness of it dishonesty. What about the 65 Guards Battalion Soldiers from Bonny Camp VI that were implicated in the Lekki shootings? If the Army are saying its soldiers were not the ones shooting, then can Mr president explain to the nation who ordered them, resign or get impeached? 2 Likes |

PissfulProtester: They are here, as expected . Have you found the dead bodies y'all been looking for yet? You know I was thinking it's only dead goats and vultures that grills, but the event of the past few days where all of you have been looking for dead bodies is making me think he also grills corpses 1 Like |

Just like Tinubu, he encountered serious widespread backlash over his first recorded speech. We have not seen the end of this! The protesters would be back before March next year after acertaining that you didn't fulfill all this mouth you are running now. |
