Nigeria is currently engulfed by the #EndSARS Protests over the last few days and one thing that has been a companion to these protesters is Music.

#EndSars Protest isn’t new but this is by far the biggest turnout Nigeria jas experienced.

What started as a small group of protesters in Lagos have spread to almost the 36 states in the country.

So here are the top 5 songs that are favourites on protest grounds.

1.) Burna Boy – Monsters You Made

For real – We’re the monsters these idiotic-filled government have made over time.
Burna Boy already foresees this and he talked deeply about it in “ Monster You Made ” off the “Twice as Tall” album.

2.) Fela Kuti – Zombie

If Police Brutality is a person then it would have been the great Afrobeat singer, Fela Kuti.

Fela recorded Zombie many decades ago to talk about the deep rottenness in the Police system, and up till today the rotten keeps eating deep.

3.) African China – Mr President

“No let this nation to fall inside well” – African China hollow out loud in his song “ Mr President ” released years back.

And the song is still very much relevant in our society of today, cause nothing changed.

4.) Eedris Abdul Kareem – Jaga Jaga

‘ Jaga Jaga ’ was a controversial song at the time of its release. Banned by the then Obasanjo administration, the lyrics are still valid in 2020.

While on the surface, it looks like Nigeria has come a long way, underneath chaos and trouble brew, an effect that the nation is currently experiencing.

5.) Davido – FEM!

Any Politician or societal leaders saying trash should just please “ FEM! “.

With this new Davido‘s song, it has been easy to pass the message at a time from the youths.
