A video is currently making rounds online showing the moment a drunk police officer is being helped by some Nigerian youths to his station.

As seen in the video, the youths could be heard shouting #EndSARS as they ask the police officers for his address so that he can be led to his destination.

"Were be your station, were your station dey, make I carry you go there", one of the youth said.

I have no sympathy for him. He is mourning nobody. Many Nigerian law enforcement officers are addicted to alcohol, women and hard drugs.

Drug abuse is at the root of most accidental discharges and wanton killings by police and we should never make excuses for any officer caught in these reprehensible habits.

He is a Mopol officer. This implies that part of his working tools is an AK47 assault rifle. You can imagine the havoc he could cause with alcohol in the head and an AK47 in the hand.

We must be strict with policing the police and uncompromising in the agitation for a reformed police and Nigeria.
