The Chairman of Iganna Local Council Development Area of Oyo State, Mr. Olayiwola Adeleke has been reportedly kidnapped by gunmen.

It was reported that the Chairman was kidnapped together with his driver on Sunday night, The Punch Report.

Adeleke was said to be traveling along the Okeho-Ado Awaye road on his way to Ibadan for a meeting scheduled to hold with Governor Seyi Makinde when the gunmen abducted him.

Howbeit, the incident was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Oyo State Command, Olugbenga Fadeyi.

He said:

"Information reaching me reveals that he was kidnapped along the Ado Aw aye- Iseyin Road."

"Efforts are being intensified to get him released and arrest the culprits."
