APC stalwart in Abia, Chief Ndukwe Iko has described the Okezie Ikpeazu-led government as one without vision and without any plan to affect the lives of the people for good.

Further describing it as rudderless, Iko in a recent chat with ABN TV said governance does not exist in the state especially in terms of construction and maintenance of infrastructure when placed at per with neighbouring states.

The industrialist accused those in the government of being only concerned with their welfare and that of cronies without showing empathy to people of the state.

"In Abia, there is no governance in terms of building and or maintaining infrastructure, especially when you see what happens in the other South East States," he said.

Iko continues, "Does Abia have an infrastructural master plan for the cities and state? I doubt if anything like that exists. What are the economic plans, Health goal, and others? The government is to me like one without vision, rudderless but with a mission to self and family enrich.

"People in government in Abia are on looting spree even at the expense of pensioners wages and workers salary. Therefore the state suffers".

While insisting that no amount of attack from the people he called hirelings will stop him from speaking up, the APC chief reiterated optimism that something big will happen in the state.

"But if one speaks out or give dispassionate council to them, their hirelings will come insulting but we can not stop saying it frankly.

"Something big in our state. Life first and God Almighty shall grant us the opportunity to share and work it out. Something big indeed" he added.

Meanwhile, a group Abia North Stakeholders Assembly (ANSA) has reacted to Ikoh's allegation, saying Abia has since 2009 witnessed steady progress.

According to the group in a statement signed by Hon. Goodluck Ibem, the President General and Chief Sunday Chukwu, the Publicity Secretary, Ikoh does not understand what it takes to run a government neither does he possess the required knowledge to lead, even as it says the APC chief is deceiving himself.

The group described Ikoh's statement as unguarded and indication that he was not in the state when the then government initiated programmes that affected the lives of Abians and fought insecurity through massive youth engagement.

The statement titled, "CHIEF NDUKWE IKOH OUTBURST AGAINST ABIA LEADERS SYCOPHANTIC" further stated that infrastructure and urban renewal took place during the period Ikoh alleged governance issues were confronting the state.

That's where we(Nigerians) have found ourselves. They're all bunch of visionless retards being deliberately wicked and selfish to the citizenry. Ikpeazu as a governor has failed both his ancestors and those living.
