On this day in 1974, Muhammad Ali knocked out the undefeated world heavyweight champion George Foreman in the 8th round at the "RUMBLE IN THE JUNGLE" in Kinshasa, Zaire; to regain his world heavyweight boxing title.

The event was watched by over 60,000 people at the May 20 Stadium in Kinshasa.
The match is regarded as "arguably the greatest sporting event of the 20th century".
