Former Deputy national chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and retired officer Chief Bode George has called for the dismantling of the Lekki toll gate in Lagos where the shootings and killings of the peaceful protesters took place at the height of the protest by men of the military personnel as a way to pacify the victims while also calling for thorough investigation into the massmassacre that took place on the 20th of December, 2020.

Speaking on Arise TV morning show interview, Chief Bode George decried the greed and personal aggrandisment among office holders and ex political office holders, lamented why there is so much greed among the ruling class ranging from devolution of power, calling for state police, youth employment and empowerment, youth participation in politics amongst other issues.

Mr Reuben Abati asked if his opinions were politically motivated due to his insinuation that a former Lagos state governor of has private jets and placing members of his families in key positions as ‘Iya loja’ and another as having the contracts of all Signage in Lagos state, in his response, Chief Bode George clearly stated his views has nothing to do with politics but as a result of his desire to see a better future for the youths of this country and a better Nigeria he hopes to leave as a legacy.

Chief Bode George clearly stated his views has nothing to do with politics but as a result of his desire to see a better future for the youths of this country and a better Nigeria he hopes to leave as a legacy. Better future for the youths indeed, so it's now he wants better future for the youths of this country, our politicians never cease to amaze me.
