jmoore:Who is a terrorist? The US itself confirmed that they are not affiliated with terror groups, they are hungry kidnappers. Most US rescue missions fail even against ordinary kidnappers. Follow foreign politics to get true picture of events. 3 Likes |

ivolt:it's not hate. It is the bitter truth. The fact that Nigerian soldiers are still busy flogging and killing citizens all over the country shows how unprofessional they are,abi its hate too. Have u even watched a Bokoharam fighting video before? Just utter shouting and confusion. No coordination. You will be wondering whether it's terrorist fighting terrorist. 7 Likes |

JohnBullMySon:It is hate. American cops still kill unarmed blacks disproportionately. But you won't find majority of Americans wishing evil on their government and country the same way Nigerians fdo. How is this related to failed rescue? By bringing up another issue, you showed that it is about hate and you would find any thing to feel inferior to others. American soldiers commits war crimes even killing unarmed civilians wherever they are deployed. You are basing your experience on movies. Real war is nothing like the movie. There are defense strategies of course but it never works as planned. Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth - Mike Tyson 3 Likes 1 Share |

ivolt:1. You compare when police shoot a single unarmed black man in three months to our police and army killing people in hundreds. Oga talk true na, I know sey u get brain 2. Flogging people on the street and shooting people is related yes, it shows they are unprofessional and lack the basic ense of knowing the right thing to do. It also shows they don't care about their citizens, show me where American soldiers killed their own citizens in their country, keep on defending Nigeria its like you like it like this. Infact even in the middle East, show me where us soliders are flogging somebody. 3. Go and watch us army engaging insurgents in Afghanistan and browse Nigeria army fighting Bokoharam on YouTube, if you no cry for our army watching the video, then you don't love our army You no like army pass me oh, but guy Nigeria military needs God intervention. 11 Likes 1 Share |

JohnBullMySon: Of course we don't realistically expect a 4th world shithole country like Nigeria to have the same military capabilities as the US. That's not even the point. It would have been more bearable if our military's problem has to do with capacity and competence alone. But unfortunately it is far worse than that. The problem involves a shameful cocktail of indiscipline, unprofessionalism and cowardice. That's why the fools would delight in brutalising unarmed civilians alone. Prancing around like deranged dogs looking for unarmed civilians to roll in the mud, issue frog jumps to, or flog. It is just shameful and ridiculous to bully people who have no means of squaring up to you. But when they encounter armed civilians (eg Boko Haram), you would see the cowardly fools giving a million excuses about how they are poorly equipped and poorly motivated. It is shameful. 3 Likes |

The event is on Wikipedia. What the op wrote isn't entirely true https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sokoto_hostage_rescue_attempt No helicopter was used for the operation The assault was brief, a Nigerian Army APC rammed the gates of the target compound, the SBS then stormed the building and killed two militants whilst the Nigerian army killed a further 6 militants. The bodies of McManus and Lamolinara were found, an autopsy revealed that they had been hastily executed at close range. |

OK2NVME:point of correction, US can't enter Nigeria for any mission without Nigeria's knowledge. Pls, get it right. You can't enter someone's nation by air without their consent. Is too dangerous and completely against UN organisation charter. The bilateral relationships between US and Nigeria is excellent and they can easily be given go ahead due to their ability to carry more accurate operation. |

By the time everything was over, the building was riddled with bullets from all direction, rpg hits and a smouldering car tyre and inside the building the dead bodies of the two hostages and their two terrorist minders. Most incompetent Army worldwide, very shameful. They will later report to Base and say "hoodlums hijacked the operation." Very dumb NA. |

[quote author=jmoore post=95545721] Your examples of success in Nigeria is mediocrity. Ordinary kidnappers, that's what you are comparing to terrorists that are ready to bomb themselves quote] Your hate is second to none, They ain’t all that good but the fact that there are still in the north east risking their lives for me and you should be applaud. There is nothing to gain when you hate your country so much. I’ve been cut in a cross fire and members of the Nigerian army came in and handle the entirely situation. http://saharareporters.com/2019/12/28/breaking-police-army-prevent-armed-robbers-escaping-abuja-bank |

[s] ivolt:[/s] Which one has your useless army succeeded in? Mention just one or shut up . We are telling you that the army needs to be overhauled you are chanting patriotism. Patriotism is not blind loyalty. The army is in a sorry state and if you are patriotic as you claim you will want to see it improve. 2 Likes |

Mariomadiba: Stop throwing the word 'hate' all over if one has a contrary opinion. Mediocrity is my word which is where Nigerian army falls under. Any rating above mediocrity is living in denial. Your source is a bank robbery. You can't even link rescue from bokoharam terrorists. |
