Jesus Was Poor.
The bible recorded it that Jesus was poor in 1Cor 8:9.
I wonder how a man who is poor could be the greatest philanthropist of all time. Jesus was poor on earth but he gave something more precious than what the rich ever give.
Many Christians, nowadays, use poverty as the excuse for not giving. Brethren, we have to know that we can give many things which are not monetary, to people and God.
Just as giving gave us Jesus' body to be hanged, being mad himself accused for us for the bible says curse is everyone that hangs on a tree (Gal 3:13)
Giving people something comes in different way. There is always a way you can contribute to people's growth with God and in life without using money.
1. First off, make sure you have closeness of mind with people around you. Have a listening early to their plights; pity them in times of troubles.
2. Another thing you can give people is word of exhortation. Preach to people who are heading to eternal combination. God doesn't want the death of a sinner. He wants all to come to repentance.
3. Let people see your good work: give people clothes, shoes, the little food that you have and every other thing. Teach young people in your church and environment the little that you know. Engage then in fruitful talk; counsel them at every opportunity.
4. Your selfless service before God: There are some spiritual activities you can engage in the church without sending money. You can give God your spiritual activities and you will see the reward.
Brethren, let's learn to give in all form; if we are poor according to man's definition for being poor, we are wealthier in spirit more than the wealthiest man on earth. You can even contribute more to the work of God and the growth of people's lives more than those that are financially okay.
Moral truth: your present status does not limit you to be generous. Failure to be kind is an emblem of selfishness, insensitivity and lack of sobriety.
Apostle Paul prays for you if you are generous "and my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in Glory by Christ Jesus.
Shalom. ;D1. First off, make sure you have closeness of mind with people around you. Have a listening early to their plights; pity them in times of troubles.
