Sanwo-Olu has really bitten more than he can chew. The Army will do everything to protect their ends and that includes bringing the governor down through blackmail. The Army has said they didn't go there on their own but through the state government's invitation but Sanwo-Olu said men in military uniform went there, trying to be cunning with the answer. He's sure gonna be indicted and a lot more others like Tinubu. We are watching as we move!!!

Have you ever seen a soldier charged to court before? Only a dismissed officer will appear before the law court.

It would have been a different ball game if the panel is a joint military/civilian panel.

This is not a court. It's a Panel of Investigation/ Enquiry.
The Army may not be oblige to appear, but if they don't, the investigation will go on and they won't be able to explain their role. Wjen the Panel comes up with a recommendation of who to hold responsible, the State will go to court and the law court can subpoena anyone to come and explain his role

Does help punish my son means kill him?
The governor can say he called the NA to maintain peace.
Once it's established that the NA killed protesters, can the NA say the governor told them to come kill protesters?

Emotion aside, the army is right on this one. It's a slap on the Nigerian army to appear before a civilian panel.

The other day, the army facility was invaded without a prior notice. Please let's respect the military.
Are you saying the Nigerian Army is above a legally, legitimately and constitutionally constituted authority (Panel of Enquiry) in a democratic state? Please study the Nigerian Constitution.

The truth is out already....there's no need for judicial panel(wasting of public fund/resources) ....
Are you saying the panel will incriminate the governor that set it up??
SanwoOlu orchestrated and hatched the plan to stop the protest at all cost(killing inclusive)
army said SanwoOlu invited them....
SanwoOlu said he didn't asked them to kill....
SanwoOlu setup panel to do what?? Investigate him?? Or wake the dead protesters??
what an evil-minded governor

I don't blame the military, I blame the puppet Sanwoolu who foolishly gave the army the chance to unleash terror on his people.

Sanwoolu invited the army, they shot at armless protesters and now he expects the army to come and start telling tales in front of a panel he constituted......smh.

That guy Sanwoolu is not even fit to be a local government councillor

Huncle, you are writing NONSENSE.

Even a boy in secondary school ought to know that they are not supposed to shoot at unarmed protesters.

If those senseless idiots had not shot at these people, would the state government had set up a judicial panel of inquiry in the first place?

were peaceful protesters / innocent citizens respected by being shot at will? undecided

Impromptu inspection was needed to see the morgue as is. Prior notice would have given time for sanitisation of the scene.

See my people let's not forget this Army are right because it was lagos state government that instructed them to go to lekki tollgate, so summoning them for questioning is a complete joke.
The governor of Lagos State ordered them there, so to summon them is not going to be useful.
And let me just make this clear, the governor of the state should be answerable to what happened in lekki tollgate, let stop all this drama.
Since the panel has been set up, what useful result have you heard or seen.
Story go jam story. Matter go die down.
This panel is not going to yield any good result I can bet u.
I just pray the governor of lagos State gets his head out of this. Because most of the order given was from him. If he can give the other for the light at the tollgate to be off because of the curfew it means something is fishing some were.
God help us the citizens of this suppose great country call Nigeria.
Just

And what about Wike?

I'm not in support of lekki killings but defying the curfew ordered by a state government is a total disrespect to the state authority

His only fault is inviting army or not appealing to them not to shoot but disperse but Wike had been doing for the past few weeks in oyigbo is worse than this and little of you say nothing in regards

When are we going to End this hyprocrisy, I'm not here to defend politicians but no governor in Nigeria today became governor without influence and other bigwig supports

Don't let hatred for Sanwoolu murdered you shortly

This Judicial Panel needs to recommend that Army be recalled to the barracks; not mount roadblocks where there is no declared state of war.

President Buhari said that the armed forces have been guarding Nigeria’s democracy since 1999.

Armed forces on roadblocks are meant to guard the skewed and lopsided political structure and constitution of Nigeria created by northern military dictators to favor only the north of Nigeria.
The political structure and constitution tilted excess political powers to northern politicians and channels most of shared revenues derived from the south towards the north.

The political structure and governance system make Nigeria a fraud.

When the panel summons, it’s the Gov doing so

The Lagos Govt authority has been vested on the panel over this matter

Yeye army

But the army does not even answer to the Lagos State government. The army is entirely under the control of the federal executive and everyone knows that.

When I tell people that NDA is not a school of quality learning some will argue. Just look at the response from an army officer to questions concerning such a serious matter. It drips of ignorance.
Nigerian army is no different from NURTW
