Kannywood actress Rahama Sadau caused a storm on Sunday with pictures of herself in a backless dress by Bintaberry.

The 26-year-old shared the pictures on social media, describing herself as “regal”.

Coming on the first day of November, she prayed that her followers “enjoy outstanding breakthroughs and joy this new month.”

Her choice of cloth did not go down with conservative Twitter users who accused her of dressing inappropriately.

Aliyu Musa wrote; “Beauty will fade, curves will sag while character & modesty will remain forever. So why posing semi nude @Rahma_sadau”.

Jibrin wrote; "[Quran 7:26] "O children of Adam, we have provided you with garments to cover your bodies, as well as for luxury. But the best garment is the garment of righteousness. These are some of God's signs, that they may take heed."

Shams wrote; “Are you trying to make heaven like this.”

Lawal wrote; “Look like Nicki Minaj. Innalillahi wa Inna alaihin raji'un. as a Muslim concerned Shame of u @Rahma_sadau.”

Others, however, saw nothing wrong in her outfit, accusing what they call Arewa Twitter of misplaced priority in telling an adult woman how to dress while ignoring insecurity in northern Nigeria.

Abba wrote; “Why do people of Arewa always hate those that are successful, wallahi 80% of those who are criticizing Rahama sadau are sinners, how many of you have a hiding agenda way way better than hers, you're just not into it because you don't have the opportunity, stop these hate already.”

Khal wrote; "Some women in the north are busy indulging themselves in adultery and all sort of things, but na only Rahama Sadau dress wuna carry put for head. Even you sef get mouth abi? You wey your boyfriend get your nude for phone. sha I don’t want to @ you but continue saying nonsense.”

Rahama is no stranger to controversy.

Igbere TV recall that she was “banned for life from acting” by the Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MOPPAN) for hugging rapper ClassiQ in a music video in 2016.

The ban was lifted in January 2018 following her “unreserved apology to the people of Kano state whose sensibilities she had abused by featuring in an amorous video,” MOPPAN said.

The difference between Christianity and Islam is HYPOCRISY. Christianity gives you a choice between good and bad but RECOMMENDS good for you. Islam gives you a choice between good and bad but FORCES you to choose good. Now everyone knows that GOOD is the better alternative, but when you are doing that good in a hypocritical way, it then becomes BAD. The same people that condemns that lady, still sleeps with underage girls. The same people that condemn alcohol, still drink secretly. The same people that say they are fasting for the day, still get up early in the morning to eat. Now the question remains, why wear a neat cloth when your body is covered in filth? Are you not suppose to wash your body first?

All I see in the picture is a very beautiful lady that have chosen her own way dressing. Even if this woman is completely naked, my own is to look and pass. The rest is between her and her God. All those people condemning her dressing go still self service dem selves with that same picture this night.

I read the epistle that one Muslim lady wrote concerning this lady. I laughed really hard. I can assure you that this lady is in trouble. They will look for a way to get her.
