The text is Ajami, it’s Hausa in Arabic script, the same way you’ve Igbo in Roman script. Ajami flourished when Hausa evolved as the language of trade across Africa.

Learn to separate Hausa the people from Hausa the language, the same you do English the people from the language.

Bigotry is a disease!!

Much ado about nothing.

Some people just wake up in the morning and start thinking of how to cause commotion among their fellow countrymen. Why is it now we're discussing the inscriptions on a currency note that was made over 15yrs ago?

It needs to be explained though but this is not the way to go about it cos I see another tribal/religious war on social media coming and it could escalate to something else.

Not everything needs violence and shouting to handle it...

The Arabs did not colonize any part of Nigeria anyone that says that is lying.
The Nigerian Army has an Arabic inscription that says "victory is from Allah", the terrorists also believe that "victory is from Allah" maybe that’s why we can’t seem to curtail their activities because our army’s belief and theirs align! undecided
Security in the North has never been this bad, our external & local debt is about to jump from 6trillion to 38trillion, and the North’s problem is keeping all Arabic inscriptions intact? God airpus!

In a country with diverse of tongues, tribes, religions must adopt a communication pattern that can be understood by all. A language that is generally acceptable to all. Nigeria has failed to learn from history. That's why these things are happening. We've forgotten that we were once apart before amalgamation. So you don't call it oneness when you always want yourself or ideologies to be seen or portrayed as first. It's not called unity, it's selfishness and its end product is division. The earlier we understand all these things the better and fix and attain the Better and New Nigeria we crave for.

Government that doesn't seek opinions from the masses is nonsense!

The Hausa Fulani dominance is prehistoric and they still wield that power till today. Trying to rewrite the status quo is like challenging them to a face off. But rather I blame our southern politicians that have graced the center post they will always want to be in the good books of the north because of reelection. At least Obasanjo was Nigeria's president and Chukwuma Soludo as CBN president were they not the ones who approved it in 2005?

So we should stop crying foul when we had the opportunity to control things.

Nigeria is just a tired and sick state, we'll need to go our separate ways before something bigger than civil war repeat itself.
We have a lot of difference which cannot be ignored or tolerated

You lie about any Hausa/fulani dominance being prehistoric. We in Eastern Nigeria knew nothing about them and had no business with them. The whole southern Nigeria had no business with them before the coming of the British. The British it is that gave them the present power they wield in Nigeria.

I remember this popular saying "the majority will always have their WAY, while the minority will only have their SAY"

I think it's time Nigeria start a mass orientation to enlighten our Christian brothers that they shouldn't be seeing themselves as minority.

it breeds hatred when some set people see themselves as minority in a diverse society. inferiority complex can affect the way people appraise things, everything done by others might be perceived to be hostile.

I think our eastern brothers also contributed more to this, just like how our northern brothers are somehow intolerance to Christians, our eastern brothers too are somehow intolerance Muslims. but Our western Christians know that they are not different from their Muslims counterparts.

so the orientation should Target the east and the north. because that's the only two place where people sees themselves as minority and majority.
the most painful thing is that both region are trying to influence others. our eastern brothers are trying to influence our western Christians so that they too will start seeing their Muslims counterparts as enemy, you hear them say things like "Yoruba Muslim" fake omolubabi" the same way the north are trying to influence our western Muslims with Muric.

so when you see an argument like this, you should know who started it, the motive and who it's aimed at
