Ayade begins road rehabilitation in Calabar


The rehabilitation of roads in Calabar, the state capital has begun with work currently ongoing on the affected internal roads across the metropolis. 


At Duke Town Drive and State Housing, Calabar, where remediation work was taking place, ProjectSupervisor, Edem E. Edem, disclosed that Governor Ben Ayade has given the Ministry of Works a marching order to ensure an urgent remedial work on all the affected roads in the capital city.


“The Governor has directed that every pothole must be fixed, and has given approval to the state Ministry of Works to commence immediate rehabilitation,” Edem stated.


He further disclosed that similar intervention has taken place at Orok Orok, Abasi Obori, Parliamentary Extension, Beebobsco, NPA road, among others. 


He assured Cross Riverians that potholes will be a thing of the past very soon, as they are currently working round the clock to ensure the governor’s directive is fully implemented.

Great job by the governor, hopefully other southern leaders will learn instead of waiting for the lifeless brain-dead mannequin to help them.
