Ever wonder why Ikorodu division is usually ill treated and not well considered for leadership positions in the governance of Lagos state.
However, the coordinator of Ikorodu Ambassador Forum; Comrade Rasheed Adedeji Fatuga took to his verified social media handles to unveil the undermentioned.

We are constrained to ask this question because of the way and manner the division is treated by Lagos Powers.

From 1967, when Lagos state was created, political appointments, projects citing and others are shared equally among the Five (5) Divisions in the state, Viz, Ikeja, Badagry, Ikorodu, Lagos and Epe. This is how the IBILE acronym was formed.

During the years of military intervention, they maintained the formula. From 1999, things begin to change and Ikorodu Division is the worst affected.

Appointments are no longer shared using IBILE. At times, we are told it's based on Senatorial District. Presently, we only have only one Permanent Secretary of Ikorodu Division descent.

The latest and the basis of this write-up is the recently constituted Lagos State Local Government Service Commission.
Out of the proposed Five Members of the Commission, None is from Ikorodu Division.

In the the recently dissolved commission, All the divisions were represented.

In the last commission that was dissolved in 2015, same thing happened and when question was asked, we were told that it was done based on senatorial District.

Now, same thing is repeating itself.
If it's done on Senatorial District basis, is Epe not in the same Senatorial District with Ikorodu?

Epe have it's representative, why is Ikorodu Division not represented?
Another dummy they always sold to us is that Somolu and Kosofe are part of Ikorodu Division.

This is not correct! Somolu from where Kosofe was created is created out of Mushin Local Government.
If Mushin Local Government is in Ikeja Division, then, Somolu and Kosofe should be in Ikeja division.

Political Leaders in Ikorodu Division should lead us well and ensure that what rightly belongs to Ikorodu Division is given to Ikorodu Division!

The least the Lagos State Government can afford now is another demonstration in Alausa.
But if we have to move, We'll move!
