Before You Blame Buhari for Lekki Massacre, Please See This.

Before Lekki brutality or massacre there was Maiduguri brutality that sparked outrage upon which Boko Haram capitalized to launch their initial attacks. Goodluck Jonathan was the president then and the northerners also blamed him for the massacre as the then C-in-C.

Just like like Lekki massacre, there was a follow up carnage where violent protesters angered by the murder of their leader(late Yusuf Mohammed) and people, destroyed public facilities and attacked law enforcement officers. This pattern clearly mirrored the Lekki brutality aftermath.

When the #EndSARS protest was being hijacked, all Buhari cared about was calming the nerves of the northerners who wanted to launch a simultaneous protest on northern insecurity and the death of a seventeen years old boy in police custody. This was evident in his meeting with the figure head of Kano emirate immediately after the Lekki shooting and brutality.

Though BH has matured into a reqional pandemic and globally recognized struggle, the EndSARS struggle isn't taking that path just yet.
Also worthy of note is the fact that the northern governors(about six of them) invited the brutal police forces and army to quell the radicals just the way Sanwo-Olu, Lagos state governor is credited to have invited the army.

Before we blame Buhari it will be good to note these simply patterns. From Buhari's speech and actions, one cannot rule out the possibility of a payback for Jonathan's perceived handling of BH.
I believe the armed thugs in jeeps driven by suited men was a ploy to derail the protest into a southern affair that will mirror BH. It is also note worthy that well spoken and shaved men were reported to have been behind most of the arson attack in Lagos.

It also explains why the first jailbreak in Edo attracted no reaction in form of shoots fired or dead bodies from the guards.

Even after the whole thing subsided, there were attempt at inciting northerners to attack non northerners in the north.
