He is absolutely correct and I concur with him on grounds of scripture.

In fact in the Jewish culture if your wife cannot present her token of virginity after the marriage consummation on the first sexual encounter,she is to be returned to her family,the bride price refunded and the marriage dissolved.

It will also become public knowledge that she played the harlot.

Unfortunately things have been so watered down in our times and ladies with uncountable body counts will still be looking for unsuspecting men or simps they can lure to eternal destruction.

Actually, that's how it has always been even in the Bible and the African culture. Yet some people will still say virginity is overrated which is actually the opposite. Some will say how will you know who you're sexually compatible with if you don't do it. So wait, if the girl dates a guy and they have sex and are not compatible, and she breaks up and moves to the next guy, and that one too isn't compatible, biko how many body counts will she have?

17. If the father refuses to allow his daughter to marry him, then the man must still pay the full amount for her.

So, where, in those two verses, does it state that the price paid is for her "virginity" and not for her as a person? Another thing, since this ruling applies to the people of Israel, who are under the Old Covenant that is between God and the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, what has it to do with you non-descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob?

Bride price is traditional not Christianity.
