Victim’s family raises alarm over non-release of son after ransom payment to kidnappers

The family of the kidnapped man in Ekiti State has raised an alarm over the non-release of their son after paying the agreed ransom over a month now; they call on the Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi for help.

A month ago, the gunmen suspended to be Fulani had kidnapped Daramola Idown along Ikere – Ise road, in Ikere Local government area of Ekiti State, on Sunday, October 11, 2020.

Daramola Idowu was kidnapped alongside his son, Daramola Olorunsola and two others.

The kidnappers demanded N100m as ransom on each of the four victims.

Recall that Newsflash247 had earlier reported that a former Chairman of Ikere Ekiti Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Adesoji Bamidele, was kidnapped on the same route on October 11 and was later regained freedom on October 16 after the family paid a ransom of five million naira.
