The choice of Pst Bakare as the Running mate of Buhari has altered the calculations.

But the question remains: What has he added, subtracted, devided or multiplied in the Wind of change Momentum called 'BB2011'?

No emotional response please.

1st response:
There was a dramatic transformation of the Campaign website from an archaic online gbajo to an interactive and attractive webmachine.

also, it was for Bakare that a formidable Yinka Odumakin would agree to be Buhari's Spokesman

Wow. This is the most intelligent thread I have ever come across on the internet. See Einstein, Aristotle, Newton, Weber, Ritcher discussing intelligently. I am impressed.

1. Energy.
2. He can be an attack dog while allowing Buhari to remain presidential and above the fray. Excellent strategywise.
3. Help attract SW votes, which Buhari will need to win the election.

He has made a few gaffes here and there, but overall a pretty damn good choice.

1. He seems to have some integrity (the Save Nigeria group, the "transport money" rejection), making the Buhari-Bakare duo seem like some powerhouse of integrity compared to their rivals.
2. He somewhat negates the religious accusations against Buhari (that Buhari is a fundamentalist Islamist fanatic), as a Christian pastor 100% behind Buhari.
3. A few SW votes.

That's about it. Not much more.

Ekubear and MHD have said it all. And they are weighty. It also popularized the ticket down South here.

And for the records, Odumakin has been Buhari's spokesperson b4 Bakare joined the ticket.

Choosing Bakare effectively killed Buhari's major obstacle: Nuhu Ribadu. Ribadu would have siphoned off progressive votes that could have tipped the scales in Buhari's favor in the SW. If you check out the VP debate, Bakare mopped the floor with the other VP candidates
