The Katsina State Governor, Shema, survived a tragic motor accident that claimed the life of his aide-de-camp, ASP Aminu Ibrahim and 7 others.
Tragic struck Shema's convoy on its way to Daura to recieve President Goodluck Jonathan who was at that time being helicoptered from Gusau to Daura for a campaign rally. The 7 others that died were in a commercial bus that ran headlong into the Governors Ford Jeep. The dead persons were described as merchants going to a nearby market.
The Governor was immediately rushed to the hospital for minor treatments and followed on to recieve the President to commission some of his projects

The accident happened on a failed portion of Katsina/Daura road___
