*COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF THE COUNCIL OF NANS JCC CHAIRMEN MEETING HELD ON SUNDAY THE 8TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 2020.* 10th November,2020 Protocols, The Council of NANS JCC Chairmen across the 36 states had an online meeting to discuss and pass a deliberate resolution in respect of the Federal Government and ASUU saga. The meeting which was graced by 21 JCC Chairmen across the organogram of NANS delibrated on the decaying and hopeless negotiations between the Federal Government and ASUU, and the attendant effects to Nigerian Students having spent over 7 months at home due to the coronavirus pandemic and ASUU strike. The Council expressed her disappointments towards the modus operandi of handling the negotiation between the duo as all meetings ends in deadlock and vicious adjournment. Therefore, the Council hereby release as follows: 1- that after a careful underscore and consultation across boards vis-a-vis the negotiation between the FG/ASUU, we hereby urge the federal government to respect the enforcement of hitherto agreements with ASUU; 2- that the Council have decided to throw her weight behind ASUU as their course is genuine and represents the interest of the educational growth in Nigeria; 3- the council urge the federal government that, following the press release of the ASUU President Biodun Ogunyemi, on the 8th of November, 2020, ASUU having decided to reduce her demands, the federal government should see that as a fair ground to enforce her agreements; 4- that the entire council shall also be a watchdog as regards the enforceability of the purpose of these demands; 5- that the council is not oblivious of the fact that the issue of payment of ASUU members through the integrated personnel payment information system (IPPIS) is the major issue as opposed to the University transparency and accountability system (UTAS) adopted by ASUU; 6- that the continuous deadlocks of meetings by the FG/ASUU will lead to a revolt by the Students if by any means the strike exceeds November 2020; 7- and finally, the council of JCC Chairmen across the 36 states shall not fail to take confrontational actions if these issues are not resolved speedily and amicably. The Council hereby calls on the FG/ASUU to consider the state of the Nation and reconsider speedy resumption of schools in order to realize a socio-economic and political balance in the polity. The Council hereby assures all Nigerian Students to remain hopeful, and once again reaffirm her commitment as the grassroots government of the largest Students movement in Africa to continue protecting and propagating the interest of Nigerian Students nationwide. You do not need to be abusive when you send the email, you should be diplomatic with the content of your mail: plead with them, let them realize that we, unlike them, can not afford private or foreign schools!

About 8 months wasted & you're still giving them 14 days to settle their differences.
