The battle between the federal government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, is not likely to end anytime soon. How did Gistongist know this? According to the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, meeting the demands of ASUU without consideration for other unions in the country will cause more problem. He said there is likelihood that other unions will begin their own strike when ASUU’s case is settled.
