A Texas schoolteacher has been accused of allegedly killing her 17-year-old son while driving him to school.

It was gathered that the incident took place on Monday morning, outside Riesel city; which is close to Waco. The woman, identified as Sarah Hunt, a schoolteacher in the Waco Independent School District has been charged with murder in the death of her teenage son, Garrett Hunt, according to the Waco Tribune-Herald.

Besides, KCEN reported, that Garrett’s body was found in an abandoned vehicle with several gunshot wounds. It was also revealed that Sarah was apprehended as she was walking back into the city.

Authorities opined they are trying to find out the cause of the shooting; as they acknowledged that the incident is still a mystery.

“At this point we don’t have a motive, we don’t know what happened, we don’t know what led up to this,” McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara told KWTX. “It’s a big mystery, and that’s what we’re trying to determine.”
