Principles Of The Holy Bible by thegoodnews: 11:44am On Nov 15, 2020 |
Hello everyone, With God's Grace, I have been able to learn that it can be practically difficult to live in this world without resorting to the Holy Scriptures as a major guide. I encourage everyone to join me as I post summaries of lessons learnt from the Holy Scriptures starting from the book of Genesis. 1 Like |

Lesson 1: Protect what God gives you! Whatever good thing God gives to you, pray and be watchful, so it doesn't end up getting hijacked by Satan. Furthermore, remember to educate all members of your family about God, so you do not end up getting misled by your family members. Genesis 3:1-19 |

Lesson 2: The power of unity With unity among people, nothing will be restrained from them to do, which they have imagined to do. This is even confirmed by God. Ensure Godly unity among your wife, husband, children, business partners or any team, for easier progress. Genesis 11:6-9 Note: Whenever there is unity among people with bad motives, the Almighty God will surely confuse and scatter them. |

Lesson 3: Adultery Do not deceptively entertain nor sleep with the spouse of another person. Knowingly or unknowingly. Such a person shall be punished by God. Genesis 12:11-20 Note: To the men, never take another man's wife to have sexual relationship. To the women, never take another woman's husband to have sexual relationship. |

Lesson 4: God's Promise The promise of God can most times come with delay and hardship, designed to bring us closer to God and increase our faith. The promise of God to Abraham for a child and the possession of the Land of Canaan was severely delayed with hardship. But in the end, God fulfilled his promise. Genesis 15 Note: In the subsequent chapters of Genesis, Abraham went on to have Issac as his biological son through his old wife as God had promised. Also the Land promised to Abraham's descendants became occupied by the same descendants of Abraham after the years of slavery as God had foretold Abraham. |

Lesson 5: Concerning prophesies Prophesies (either blessings or curses) by people of God may be reversed by God himself, which is highly dependent on people's actions. Live holy and receive blessings. Live sinful and receive curses. The scripture has many passages which speak of days ahead of suffering and eternal torment and of judgement and of condemnation. (E.g. Rev. 20:12-15). Not everyone will face the judgement of condemnation, which was written so that you might turn from sin to Jesus Christ. God reverses prophesies from good to bad or vice versa (Jer. 18:7-10). Sometimes, prophesy of blessing/prosperity fail to happen due to lack of crucial action that should be taken. E.g. Failure to make an economic move which can be attributed to biblical doctrine ignorance, sinful actions including unbelief which is worse or even simply failing to apply Godly wisdom such as is written in Psalm 1 and in the book of Proverbs. Note: This lesson is from an investigative study of Genesis 49 and several other books of the Bible concerning the materialization of prophesies. |

Lesson 6: The forbidden thing that has been turned into modernized fashion “Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord” Genesis 19:28 Note: The above verse is self explanatory. |

Lesson 7: The danger of judging people of God such as Pastors, Prophets, etc. Do not judge nor involve yourself in a power struggle with God's anointed! Miriam (Moses elder sister) spoke against Moses concerning his new wife, thereby using it as a basis to overthrow Moses in his position of authority, comparing herself to Moses – mentioning that the same gift Moses has is what she also has too. Then God informed both Miriam and Aaron that Moses is not just a prophet, but whom he speaks to, mouth to mouth. Then God punished Miriam. Numbers 12:1-10. Numbers 16 contains another classic case of judging God's anointed. Note: Miriam was later healed after intercessory prayer by Moses. Other people involved in power struggle with Moses were not spared from the fatal wrath of God. |

Lesson 8: Beware! Some people can derail God's plan for your life As a believer in God, never let complainers provoke you to the point where you will disobey God's instruction, because God can cancel something good he has promised for you. On the other hand, do not let unbelief or anger to make you disobey God. As a classic example: Numbers 20:1-5 shows the Israelites' complaint, Numbers 20:7-9 shows God's instruction to Moses, Numbers 20:10-11 shows what Moses did, and finally Numbers 20:12-13 and Numbers 20:23-24 shows God's judgement to Moses and Aaron for their disobedience. Note: God still speaks to us today. One way we can learn about God's Word is by studying the Holy Bible. Let us obey God's Word to live the life God has called us for and be free from unnecessary pain, disappointment, shame and many more horrible things. |

Lesson 9: The danger of pride when things are going well When God has blessed you with wealth, remember to thank God and continually stay away from sin, to avoid judgement. Do not say in your heart that it is the power and might of your hand that brought you this wealth. Remember that it is God that gives you the power to get wealth. Deuteronomy 8:10-20 |
