The coalition of all southerners forum in Plateau state has disclosed that their members lost no fewer than 1,654 lives in the Jos crises since 2004 and now.

The forum in a communiqué read at a press conference, added that valuable p[properties worth N970 bn belonging to them was destroyed under the period in review.

This forum made up of the Igbos, Yoruba and South South people through their leaders are urging the federal government to compensate them without delay because these destructions were as a result of "negligent in the discharge of its statutory duties"

Reading the communiqué, Chief Richard Wayas, the President General, Igbo Community Council, they called on President Goodluck Jonathan to use his security agenda to "put a halt on the intractable killings and civil unrest" in the state.

The group "assures President Goodluck Jonathan and Vice President Namadi Sambo of its unalloyed support comes April 2011 presidential polls"

They further called for the immediate prosecution of all those "indicted by the report of various judicial panels of inquiry as well as the release of the white paper of the Presidential Advisory Committee" hat was headed by Chief Solomon Lar.

It then commended governor Jonah Jang for recognizing the peace loving people from the zones, who, as major stakeholders, have contributed to the economic growth of the state.

If only we had an action president and Action Governor who were full of ideas and not riding on luck may be the loss would have been a few millions.
