lexy2014: The reason you should visit the thread is so that you read all previous arguments.... In any market there's something called bid price, ask price and last price the item sold for..... what N500 note and N1000 note does is it forces last price to these denominations! Someone I know bought onions half kilo for N475 and paid with POS. if this was an open outdoor market the last price will be N500 for a multitude of reasons I don't want to repeat as I've already typed it before. But this is the basic argument.... I'm stopping here. Thanks. |

Let's get over our stupidity and hand this country over to those who can actually think properly. Those who believe in the homeland. otherwise we are all going off the cliff with these brain-dead leaders 2 Likes 1 Share |

BigBashiru: I didn't ask u for previous argument as my enquiry was about a single commodity, onions. I asked how is N1000 responsible for d sudden sharp rise in d price of onions. U obviously haven't said anything above that gives credence to ur theory that N1000 note has affected d price of onions 2 Likes 1 Share |

You guys should continue wailing as usual, don't go and farm. Lest I forget, a 50kg bag of beans is 22k in Central Nigeria. It will get to 30k before the end of next year. So instead of coming to nairaland to call Buhari's name, buy it now and store for you and your family's consumption. In that case you won't have to worry about sniper been used to preserve beans. A word is enough for a wailer. Next year will be bloody in terms of inflation. 1 Like 1 Share |

otomatic: When prices are increasing in this regime, they don't increase by N10 or N20 mostly, prices mostly increase by N1000, N500 and N200 in that order... N1000 is most dispensed by atms followed by N500 |
