Sales and Marketing Manager

A leading departmental store is seeking to recruit a Sales and Marketing Manager to join its team. You will drive sales and increase brand value by driving sales in Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja. In addition you will be responsible for conceptualizing and overseeing all marketing activities that drive sales, create brand recognition and trust, and achieve organizational objectives. The position reports to the General Manager and will be based in Tinapa, Calabar. The ideal candidate should be willing to travel and work around the country.
In this role you will develop and implement robust marketing strategies to drive the business agenda and you will oversee all marketing activities like advertising, sales and promotional activities. The organization seeks to enter into new markets and increase market share in existing markets therefore you will be required to identify new markets and target them accordingly.
The role requires that you establish distribution channels and networks for the organization’s merchandise. You are expected to demonstrate leadership and as such you will manage, develop and coach sales and marketing officers. In addition you will set sales targets and drive sales while overseeing sales activities.

Qualifications and Experience
You should be degree qualified (bachelors degree) and have a minimum of four (4) years of post-qualification experience in sales and marketing. You are expected to be computer literate and possess the knowledge of modern marketing and sales approaches.
The role requires that you are driven, resourceful, and results oriented with a flair for sales and marketing. You will have the ability to apply strong business acumen to develop marketing and sales strategy and understand the implications for the business.
You should have a very good understanding and knowledge of the Nigerian retail market.
You should possess well developed customer and relationship management skills, and selling skills.
You should have demonstrable leadership and management skills and possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and great interpersonal skills.
