The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, has expressed excitement at news of the defection of Governor Dave Umahi to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Ebonyi State governor was said to have officially dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the APC after weeks of speculation.

Umahi reportedly said that the South East geo-political zone had suffered injustice from the PDP over the years.

Reacting to the governor’s defection, Kayemo said the PDP did not deserve the loyalty it had received from the South East region.

The minister tweeted on Tuesday: “…the main opposition does not deserve the loyalty of the S/East having failed them in infrastructural development for 16 years. Every lie has an expiry date.”

So, what has APGA being a zonal party done for the zone?

It's amazing how someone will be celebrated as a performer in one party but hated just for defecting to another party...parties that, in my opinion, are just means of acquiring political power.

Back to the matter, of APC successfully completes the second Niger bridge that PDP has been dribbling us it, watch and see how Ndigbo will go all in for APC.
