Genevieve Nnaji Hails DJ Switch, Calls Her ”brave Queen” by micheal34(m): 12:08pm On Nov 19, 2020 |
Nigerian actress, Genevieve Nnaji has taken to her Twitter account to appreciate popular Disc Jockey, DJ Switch for speaking out about the Lekki toll gate shooting on October 20. Youths had taken to the streets in protest, to demand a permanent dissolution of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), as well as to seek an end to police brutality and extra-judicial killings. On 20th of October, protesters under the EndSARS movement converged at the Lekki Toll Gate to press home their demands, but security agents who were deployed to disperse the crowd opened fire on them. DJ Switch streamed the incident on her Instagram Live even as the shootings were going on. International TV station, CNN after weeks of investigations into the incident, released its findings which further proved that the military authorities lied about some details it gave on account of that fateful night. Switch was interviewed on CNN and she once again stuck to her eyewitness account about the shooting. Reacting to Switch’s position, Genevieve praised her bravery. She wrote; “A brave queen. Thank you @dj_switchaholic. Silence is not hereditary. #EndSARS” Source: https://www.hotfrom9ja.com/genevieve-nnaji-hails-dj-switch-calls-her-brave-queen/ 1 Like |

DJ Switch is a brave lady. She really made name for herself and will always be remembered as a brave and bold lady for what she did. The funny thing is that you'll never see a brave lady like her rant or call herself a feminist. It is always frustrated, jilted, demented and dimwitted animals who will be quick to claim feminist online, whereas they'll be nowhere to be found when it's needed to prove it. 5 Likes |

IamD18: It is her choice to be a feminist or not. Feminism is just one form of activism. DJ switch identifies as a civil right activist, which is also her choice. The aim/goals are different. The most active feminists (FeministCo) are on Twitter and it might please you to know that they handled the disbursement of majority of the protest’s finance. For weeks they put gender aside and managed logistics of the protest, not minding that people like you have called them jilted, bitter, old and aggressive. I am sure right now people are back to insulting them. In fact, the insults resumed almost immediately. Anyway, they didn’t back down despite pressure that was being mounted from above. When the protest got bloody, they retreated and stated they would be returning to their MAIN GOAL. Where were you when they were doing all that? Nowhere to be found. 2 Likes 1 Share |
